Diagnostic logging

J

Jesse Schuchart

I have an issue with a Project Server 2007 denying people access to PWA after
the AD sync.

Logging for the server should be on. I have used the following method:

SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration
Operations
Dianostic Logging
Logging and Reporting
Set the Event Throttling to both All and Project Server -General.

Clicked save, watched the queue process.

However, post sync, I do not see any logging. Additionally, when I return
to SPCA and the logging and reporting section, none of my settings are saved.

I look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\12\LOGS and I do not see any logs for the server.

Ideas???

Try setting diagnostic logging for the Queue to Verbose and then check the
logs again.

In the properties of the Enterprise Resource Pool (ERP) and Security Groups,
it shows when the group last sync'd. Is this showing as successful.

Check you have configured AD sync for the ERP as this is often missed.
