Diagrams in Word with data via ODBC, just like 'fields'

Hi All

I am a PC user, and I dont know if I am in the right NG here, but I did
not find a pc.office.word NG.

I know how to use fields in MS word to retrieve data via an ODBC interface.

I know how to create diagrams in MS excel that are based on data
retrieved via the ODBC interface.

I was wondering if I can have diagrams in Word that get their data
directly from a database via ODBC. And then I would be able to use, just
as when I use fields, to click on ">" to get the next record displayed
in my gerneral word document. As a first step would maybe be how to
create diagrams in Word (without doing them in excel and pasting them
into a word).

I would highly appreciate your help.

Thanks Toby

Hi Toby,

There are several ways to do what you are seeking - each has a different
outcome.

For starters, in Word try Insert > Object and choose one of the Excel
options.
