dialing contacts from Outlook 2002

Robert

When I click Actions, and then click Call Contact, I receive the following
error message:
An internal error occurred in the automatic phone dialer. Close the phone
dial dialog box, and then open it again.

If I do this I get the same error message again.

I am using Windows 2000 professional

I don't understand the Microsoft workaround, for example: what is a
directory server and an e-mail alias?

This is not an Outlook issue. It is a telephony issue with your operating
system's dialer. Ask in a group that supports the dialer for your OS.

could you help me by telling me what group that might be? My operating
system is Windows 2000

many thanks

Not really. I suspect you can search the groups as easily as I. I'd look for
anything that has to do with telephony or communications for Windows 2000.

microsoft.public.win2000.networking, perhaps?
