Dialing from the email recipient or person name smart tag

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2003 SP2 with computer-telephony integration to place
calls from the Contact list (through a Cisco IP softphone that is interfaced
with MS TAPI with the Cisco TSP). I am able to dial from a contact in my
contact list without problem.

But there is a very tempting entry in the email recipient pop-up menu that
says "Call... / Call Work +1 123 456 7890". I would very much like to use
this feature as it is automatically populated with Active Directory data and
thus enables me to call people from my company that are not already in my
Contact List. It's also quicker than going to the Contact list each time.

However, when I choose this calling option, I get the following error
message: "There may be a problem with your instant messaging configuration.
Make sure your instant messaging application is installed and running."

Is there any way to make this pop-up menu (I believe that is the "Person
Name Smart Tag) dial through the regular Outlook dialing application instead
of trying to dial through some instant messaging application? Or else, any
other way to link that "call" menu item to my Cisco TSP?

Thanks
Bob
