Dialup issues

I have just upgraded from Office v.X to 2004 and I have got a problem with
picking my emails up on a dialup connection.

When I'm connected to my office DSL link everything works fine; but when I
use the internal modem I get an message saying "Authentication failed
because Entourage doesn't support any of the available authentication
methods" and gives an Error -17897

Any ideas why this happens ?
