Dictionaries

I have taken a peek inside all of the dictionaries, thesauri, and
hyphenation dictionaries--they all seem pretty jumbled with no discernable
structure.


Does anyone know how they were compiled so one could write a dictionary and
then compile it?


It might not be that hard to take an Ispell dictionary, and then write a
small script to to the job....it would be step forward for office mac.


Someone hit on the write idea, spell checking should be a system wide
preference, what dictionaries to be used and which service should provide
it.

They are compiled and I don;t know of any way to de-compile then recompile
them unfortunately :-\
