Hi

Well, they sure try to take advantage of medical folks out there, don't
they? When doing a search for free medical dictionary downloads I found
lots of "free" sites that charge $20 US to download a medical
dictionary. Talk about a rip off!

After a few minutes of sorting through the fakers, I found a web site
that actually has a free medical dictionary to download. It's here:
http://mtherald.com/free-medical-spell-checker-for-microsoft-word-custom-dictionary/

The page is heavily ad-laden. The download link is in the text about
halfway down. It comes as a zip file, which you double-click to get at
the dictionary .dic file when it's unzipped.

Pages 232 through 235 of the All-In-One for Dummies book has details
explaining what a dictionary .dic file is and how to make one of your
own and how to install it. If you haven't a copy of the book yet, visit
Word's help and search for the topic Create and use a custom dictionary.
After step #4 in the instructions you should click the Add button to add
your downloaded dictionary.
