Dictionary in microsoft 2007

Stanley

Where is the dictionary stored that office uses.
I'm in South Africa and sometimes the spelling doesn't look right.
Second question, does one get an Afrikaans directory to install in 2007,
alot of my correspondence is in Afrikaans and I don't know about my spelling
sometimes.

There is a language code for both English (South Africa) and Afrikaans, but
I don't see a dictionary or Office Language Pack for either. The following
page may be helpful. It shows the localized versions and "companion
languages" that are available. If you click on "Buy a Single Language Pack
now" you could, for example, purchase a Dutch language interface and
proofing tools for your version of Office.

For Afrikaans I would recommend consulting a local computer or office supply
vendor. There may be a third party solution although Microsoft doesn't
appear to sell one.

Hello,

The Afrikaans LIP (Language Interface Pack) for Office 2007 has not yet been
released. There is one (which includes a spell-checker) for Office 2003:

LIPs are created within the framework of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential
Program (see http://www.microsoft.com/unlimitedpotential/programs/llp.mspx
for more information - you can click on "Localization Language Offerings" to
see which languages are covered).

If you have specific examples of South African terms which "do not look
right" to you, Stanley, please do not hesitate to give more details here, so
that we can investigate the issues and examine possible improvements.

Thanks,

Thierry
