when using Word I get an error message that it can¹t find the dictionary.

I still have Office 2001 on my drive due to printing issues.

That shouldn't be a problem. I also have Office 2001 on my Mac. Did you
update Office ??? I think this problem got fixed in one of the updates.
You'd need Office 10.1.5 (you need the 10.1.2 update, then the 10.1.4
and finally the 10.1.5 update).

After all that, I'd suggest that you repair permissions on your Mac
(Through Disk Utility on 10.2.6) and restart.
