I once told the spell check to automatically change the word cortisol to cortical every time it sees it. I did that by mistake. I'm a medical writer and need to use the word cortisol often and it keeps changig it automatially to cortical. I can't figure out how to change it back.

can you please advise?

You can locate the custom dictionary in the Finder and open it in Word
(drag it to the Word icon).
You will then have the possibility to edit it, save it and the problem
should be gone,

It could be in the AutoCorrect entries. Look under Tools --> Autocorrect in
the Menu bar.
