Did I purchase the wrong product?

I bought Office 2004 for Mac from an online store and am wondering if
I got snookered. What I received was a "Licensing" CD with Office
2004 for Mac. It installed without a hitch and I was able to register
it without issue but...on the CD it states:
- "All use subject to volume license agreement <snip> Not for retail
or OEM Distribution. Not for resale"

Anyone know if this is on the up and up?

Thanks, Clif

Hi Clif:

Nope: That one is on the down and down :) Someone is doing the wrong
thing, and is likely to get a visitor in a blue uniform sometime soon :)

The disk you have is supplied as part of a Microsoft Volume Licensing
Agreement, usually offered to large companies.

If you wanted to supply full details to the Microsoft office closest to you,
I think you might find that they will be prepared to swap it for a
fully-licenced copy that will qualify you for the Office 2008 $10.00 upgrade
that you will be able to use after Christmas.

The disk you have does not qualify for that :)

Cheers
