Differed Taskpads Shown in Different Calendars

I'm working on a project that requires a separate calendar and task list. I
have created second calendar folder called "Project" and a second taskpad
folder called "Project." When I open the "Project" calendar I want the
"Project" taskpad to be displayed.

Thank you for your response, “Make a suggestion to Microsoft.â€

I saw some indications on others sites that this could be done.

Can I set the Taskpad to be displayed with different Calendars in my current
version of Microsoft Office 2003, Version 11.8002.6568 PS2?

Thank you, Ed

I experimented for a while and this is what I found. If you're viewing a
calendar folder in your default message store, then the Taskpad will show
your default Tasks folder. If you're viewing a Public calendar, the Taskpad
will be empty. If you're viewing a calendar in some other data store, like
a PST, then the Taskpad will show the contents of the Tasks folder in that
data store. I don't know what you'd see if the calendar you were viewing
was in a public folder and that folder also contained a Tasks folder because
I can't test it, but I suspect that the Taskpad would still remain empty.

So, you can accomplish what you want by having your other calendar and tasks
folders in separate PSTs instead of in your default data store.

I also found out that the extra tasks folder must be named "Tasks" and once
you create it in a PST you won't be able to delete it later. The calendar,
however, can be named whatever you like. It doesn't have to be "Calendar".

Brian, thanks for all your help. Ithink I'll just keep it simple since more
than one person will be using the calendar woth a taskpad and use Excel
spreadsheets.
