I maintain four websites. Nothing special:
-- my subdivision's homeowner's association site
-- personal website
-- website for our local astronomy club
-- my own site for political commentary
These sites, because of their nature, require very little updating. In
fact, it's been three months since I changed anything on any of the
sites.
When I try to PUBLISH on any of the four sites I get the CAN'T FIND A
SERVER ON PORT 80 error -- or words to that effect.
I have tried, on each website: refresh FP extensions; remove and
reinstall FP extensions; had host tech support remove and reinstall FP
extensions. No change.
However, when I use FileZilla to FTP the changed pages to the
respective sites, no problem -- FTP goes smoothly, changed pages show
up in the browser.
Will I screw up anything using FTP?
I do not use hit counter. The only FP-unique things I use are theme
and search page.
Thank you for your assistance.
