Difference between office 2003 and office xp

Michelle

I need to upgrade my version of Office. The downloads
don't seem to work very well to correct problems when I
switched to Windows XP.

I haven't discovered what the difference is between
Office xp and Office 2003. Is one more current than the
other? What is the difference? Both say they work for
windows XP. Is there a Office 2004 coming out soon?

Hi Jenson,

The link in my signature below has a chart that shows an
overview of the different Editions of Office 2003.

Hi Bob,

It's only Word 2003 that has two 'flavors'.

The professional edition (and the standalone edition copy)
of MS Office Word2003 can work with custom XML schemas.

The other Word 2003 packagings are more limited in their
handling of XML, but all other features should be the same.

Is there some place that shows the differences between the
"professional versions" of Word, Excel, etc and the "other"
ones?
