Q1: Overall differance between Office 2000 and 2007 with respect to VBA and
merging data?
Q2: Is DDE alive and well in MSO 2007?

Details: CRM GoldMine 5.7x (GM) w/MSO 2K Addin using DDE, Word 2K, MSSQL 2K.
may need to upgrade Office to be compatible w/Exchange upgrade to 2007 by
parent company.
An automated process at the server, prints documents one contact at a time,
potentiall any of aprox. 600 possible, for the one contact.
Little or no programming is resides in these templates all that they need is
w/in the Addin which uses DDE broadcast by GoldMine.
As often as possible I morph similar documents using complex IF statements
that add tables, pages, white space as needed to keep the number of docs down.
The basic addin was provided by GM, however they've moved on to a newer GM
application version using .Net, which for us, has few bang-to-buck benefits.
This version has an addin or similar link for office 2007, I haven't seen it,
and they are not writting an addin for our GM version to work with Word 07.
So we are faced with either paying $20k to GM for just an upgrade or I'll
program my own addin to Word 07.
