What are the differences?

A VBA Applications in Word XP is compatibility with Word 2003.

If i work in Word 2003 the code is compatible with Word XP?

Both Word XP (more accurately, Word 2002) and Word 2003 use VB6. That
said, it is possible that Word and Office 2003 introduced new
properties, methods, and objects. So, if you use any of those
constructs, your code will not be backwards compatible. If you don't,
your code will work. In general, consider developing the software using
the oldest version of the software on which you want it to work. Unless
there are bugs in the Office application, that code will be forward-
compatible.
