Different default templates for "New Page" and "New subpage"

Hello there,

I have a template set that I'd like to use for lecture notes, and was
wondering if it was possible to set two different default templates, one for
a "New Page" and one for the "New Subpage" option under each section...

Per se, I have a header page for the start of a note, and any subpage has a
bit different layout for the rest of the notes. If/when I ran out of room on
my first page, the second page is formatted differently to allow for more
space, etc. Is what I am trying to accomplish possible?

I don't think so. Maybe a 3rd party tool can do this?
