Hi there,
I'm using Outlook 2003 and connecting to an Exchange 2003 server.
I would like to use different reply-to (and forward) formats for
messages in plain-text vs. html format. In particular, when replying to
html messages I'd like to include the message below, unindented (this
is the default option).
However, when replying to plain-text messages, I'd like to prefix each
line with a ">". I seem to only be able to select one or the other as a
global setting.
Also, changing the format of the reply with the "format" menu doesn't
use this setting. More often than not I want to reply to a html message
with a plain-text one, and even when I have the "prefix each line with
a > character" option set, opening a reply and chosing "plain text"
from the format menu just gives me an indented message. I guess Outlook
is just converting the HTML version to plain-text.
So basically, I have two issues:
1. chosing different reply-to and forward formatting for html and
plain-text messages
2. replying to html messages with a plain-text one and prefixing each
line with >
Can this be done? I don't mind if it means I have to resort to some
scripting.
