Different space display

T

When I turn on "Show all formatting marks", some messages display symbols
that look like degree symbols (superscript circle) for some spaces. These
characters are treated as spaces by the Find command. Anyone know what these
are and they differ from normal spaces, indicated by mid-line dot?

Thanks.

This is a shot in the dark but I'm going to guess that one is a hard space
(you added it) vs. a soft space (one that Word/Outlook added) to format
things.
