I'm using XP-SP2, Outlook 2002 client based, linux mail server.
I have applied my OS DST change, WindowsXP-KB931836-x86-ENU.exe, Outlook
calendar tzmove.exe patch and my linux OS patch.
When I receive emails from Outlook, the time stamp is 1 hour ahead of the OS
time. This does not affect when I use the webmail, linux based. But when I
send myself test mails from any webmails, Outlook adds another hour to it.
I’ve already check the Calendar Options Time zones, Tools -->Options -->
Calendar Options --> Time zone, and it is pointing to my correct zone; EST
with Adjust DST.
HOWEVER, the current time shown below it is 1 hour ahead. If I uncheck the
DST there , it affects the OS time by moving it 1 hour behind of actual time.
For example, OS time 10:00AM EST w/DST, in Outlook Time Zone it is 11:00AM
although it's EST w/DST too. What gives?
I even did the manual update, TZedit.exe, and it is setup to correct
setting; 2nd March @2AM, 1st Nov @2AM, DST +1 hr.
Rebooted the Outlook, OS, and issue still exist.
I checked Microsoft, and all I found is relating to the tzmove.exe update;
which only talks about the Calendar moving tasks, etc.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
