different top margins in Word 2004 template for Mac

I am trying to create a template in Word 2004 on the Mac that needs to
be 2 pages with a header on only the first page and different top
margins on the first and second page. The problem is, when I change the
margin on the second page and you go to replace the type that I placed
for positioning, the header on the first page disappears. Or else I
always get a header on all pages even though I have "different first
page" checked. Is it possible to acheive what I am trying to
accomplish???

Did you insert any section breaks, by any chance?

What are the desired top margins for the 1st and 2nd pages?

You can't change margins for a page, only a section. Or a document.
