Hi,

It is very difficult behaviour of PROJECT SERVER

when the manager mark holidays of one person .

and after some time employee come to me and tell me that he has came those
days on which manager mark his absents in the administrative project.

( We have only two tasks in the administrative project "SICK" and
"VACATION" ) when I remove those leaves from those days and publish to
manager.

when we see the entries in the MSP_WEB_WORK TABLE then the entries are
correct but when we see the entries in the project web access "TASK VIEW"

the "WORK" Column is still showing the hours which I have remove and
"Resource Usage View" is also showing those hours which I removed from
reource time

sheet and publish to the manager and manager also accept it .

when I try to remove those hours from Resource usage view and save the
project the dialog box is appears about to synchronization ot resource time
sheet .

although I remove the hours from users time sheet.

please tell me the problem .

tell me this is normal behaviour of project server or it is bug of project
server .

if it is a normal behaviour than how can we understand it .because it
effecting on reports . which I am making with SQL Server Reporting Services
and reports showing in-correct entries due to this behaviour of project
server.

and if this is a bug then how we can solve it .

Regards

Micheal

Managers of Administrative projects should not try to plan the Administrative
work.

Instead, the resource should click "Notify my manager of time I will not be
available for project work" link on the left side of his timesheet. This is
the proper place to enter planned time for Administrative projects.

And, of course, the timesheet is the place to report Actual time for these
activities.
