different version

Hello there, I know that there are two versions of onenote, one is 2003
another one is 2007. I had to reinstall 2003 due to some crash issues. so I
did that and now some of the sections are not opening saying that this
section is from a different verison of onenote. but I dont have a different
version! I only have 2003?

Did you work with ON 2007 too?
Notebook files opened in the later version are not usable in ON2003
anymore. And there is no converter.

Just to confirm - you've never installed or used ON2007 on this computer?

I forget for sure (I've been using ON2007 for so long but ISTR that the
file format changed between the original version of ON2003 and SP1. You'll
want to put the same service pack as you had before the crash, and then
ensure that you later install the latest service pack after confirming that
you can read all of your data.

Hello Erik, No I have never used ON2007. I will try the service pack thing
and see what happens.
