Does anyone know why or how to correct this strange effect? I post photos on
my website that are resized to 6 inches by 4.5 inches (432 x 324 pixels)
using photoshop elements. I noticed that my horizontal shots appear much
"squarer" than my vertical shots. I measured them on the screen, and sure
enough, the lengths and widths are different betwen the two orientations even
though the jpgs are sized to the same dimensions. My 6 x 4.5 inch horizontal
shots show up as 6 1/4 wide by 5 inches tall and my vertical shots are 6 5/8
tall by 4 5/8 wide, a more rectangular ratio. Why is the ratio different for
same size photos but different orientation?
