Difficulty displaying graphics in Word 2002 on a newer computer

I bought a new Dell desktop (Windows XP Professional) in 12-05 and installed
my Office XP Professional Version 2002 on it. Now the graphics won't display
or only partially display when I open Word documents. They are there because
they print. The graphics are in formats I know Word accepts, plus they
display just fine on other computers including my older laptop. I have tried
reinstalling Office using custom installation, hoping to see additional
graphics drivers that I could load, but nothing came up that gave me this
opportunity during the setup/installation.

There are several other threads on this problem. One mentioned that it was a
problem with the Dell monitor and this person was collecting information to
take to Dell about the problem. Explore the other threads to see if you can
find it. I just looked and could not, but it's there. I know that none of
the other fixes mentioned work at all, like loading a new or updated graphics
driver.

I found a thread you should look at: Graphics display EXCEEDINGLY S....
with 12 posts, started on 1.7.2005. Look for (e-mail address removed)'s post about
the graphics driver.
