Difficulty installing 2007 enter, after uninstalling trial versio

I have just purchased new laptop after previous one failed completely and
could not be recovered. New laptop had a trial version of Office 2007
already on it. When I tried to load the 2007 office enterprise disc it said
the disc was corrupt and I should load original disc. This is the original
licensed disc I brought and installed on my old computer.

I uninstalled the trial version but get then same message. I gather looking
at the microsoft website, uninstalling trial versions are not without
problems. Can anyone help
