Difficulty with jpg Exif files

I've recently acquired a Pentax digital camera. The jpg files it
creates cannot be dragged-and-dropped into Word X as other jpg files
can, apparently because Word X doesn't like the Exif data the camera
creates. Stripping the Exif data by saving the file for Web use with
PhotoShop solves the problem, but is a tedious procedure when other
camera jpgs could simply dragged in. The insert-picture command does
not work either.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?

Thanks,

You might find a copy of GraphicConverter useful. You will need a
fairly recent version, and you might need to register your copy for the
full batch processing performance. Get it from http://www.lemkesoft.de
It is probably the best piece of Mac shareware ever.
