I have an application for Visio 2002 and 2003 that makes
use of a digitally signed VSL and digitally signed Visio
VST template file which contains a small amount of VBA
code. When users create new drawings in my application
which are based on that template, the digital signature
is lost when they save the drawing document, even though
they have made no VBA changes. Shouldn't that signature
be preserved in the drawing based on the template since
no VBA changes have been made? If not, when the file is
read in using Visio 2003, the macros are disabled due to
the default High security level and the missing signature.
What's the solution to this issue? Is there something
else I can do besides having to have my users create
digital signatures and sign every document they create
based on my application?
Thanks,
Michael
