digital signatures

I'm using Word 2003
1. I ran selfcert to create a digital certificate. Unprotected the doc &
attached it in the digital certificate dialog box. It does not appear in the
trusted publishers box. I also get a warning that if I protect the doc the
digital signature will not be saved. Any ideas what I am doing worng?

2. if the signature is linked to the macro, as long as copy the digital
signature file is copied to other users, will the digital signature will
work? If not, can I run MSI to install it?
