Digital Voice Recorders

I just got OneNote and am excited to use the audio recording function to be
able to take notes as I record a lecture so they can be cross referenced
later. The problem is my computer does not have a built in microphone. I
recently purchased an Olympus DS-30 digital voice recorder. Is there anyway I
can use the recorder as my "microphone"? I know I can record audio and then
simply insert it into a page in OneNote but I'd really like to be able to
record to OneNote using the recorder so it will timestamp the audio and
reference it with my notes. Any suggestions?

I would suggest to get a portable microphone for your laptop.
There is quite a number of very good options for USB microphones on the
market.

A *direct* connection of your voice recorder and OneNote will not work.

You might use a workaround as alreday suggested by Ben and/or any other
way to produce WAV-output from your voice-recorder and import it into
ON.
This works pretty fine.
