Directory Service Error?

I¹ve been trying to set up directory service for my companies exchange
server. I¹ve entered in my information based on my admin instructions; but I
keep getting an Unknown Error (-17768). I¹ve hassled my admin about this for
a while, he assures me that everything is set up correctly on his end.

I would love some feedback.

1. What type of error is (-17768)
2. And Does my server set up look correct?

LDAP Server: file02.companyname.com

LDAP Server: file02.companyname.com

THere are several additional things you might need...
You might need to specify the port if it is not using the standard port, and
in my case, in order to get LDAP to work at all I had to specify the proper
LDAP settings in the Directory Access application in the system. It was not
trivial :-\
