I know many people have this problem, when I try to install direct X 9 It
then comes up with the error " this file has not been passed by windows logo
testing and will not be installed" then " failed to copy a required file"
and aborts the installation. I need to install this as I cant play any new
games without it. So if anyone knows a workaround the problem post here or

I have tried the webinstall and the redist software developers version and
they both fail to install.

I've trided removing my g card drivers, and booting up in safemode to
install it but the same errors come up. Plz help me fic it someone thx! my

I dont have the latest drivers, but I have drivers that are new enough to
have directX support (checked the release notes), so it cant be the drivers.
My pc specs are 1.1 amd thunderbird , asus a7v mobo, gf4 ti4600, sound
blaster.
I've got no probs in DXDIAG either, accept 1 display driver and 1 sound card
driver has not been tested by microsoft quality labs but they work fine.
