In PowerPoint 2003, there was the feature/curse of auto layout. Insert a
picture into a blank slide, and that picture gets stuck in a template
placeholder. But PPT03 was kind enough to offer a button to disable the auto
layout. PPT07 is not so gracious.
So the problem is that if my main content frame is empty, and I insert a
picture from file, it is inserted in that content frame. And in PPT07, there
seems to be no way to remove it from the frame, or turn of this feature/curse.
I'm looking for an answer to two questions:
1. Can this auto layout be disabled or prevented in PPT07 like it could in
PPT03? I've already checked the autocorrect options, and the PPT03-like
option to disabled auto layout isn't there.
2. Can I remove the image from the auto layout after it has been inserted?
Thank you in advance.
