Disable automatic toolbars

I'm using Office XP. I have a spreadsheet with Hyperlinks
to cell ranges in other spreadsheets. When I click the
link the other spreadsheet opens with the cells
highlighted as I require, but Excel always automatically
opens extra toolbars. I don't want these toolbars as they
just take up extra screen real estate. How do I turn this
option off?

Usually the Web Toolbar and the Reviewing Toolbar. There
may be more, but I can't remember.

That's what I suspected. :)

You can kill both toolbars so the no longer surface with this macro:

Sub KillToolbar()
'Change "Reviewing" to "Web" for Web toolbar
With CommandBars("Reviewing")
'Change False to True to enable the toolbar
.Enabled = False
End With
End Sub
