disable default .mpp file while opening file from pwa

Every time i click on the MS Project icon to open a mpp file from
project server vide PWA, 2 files open up. One is the relevant file and
the other an empty project file. Why is the empty project file
opening up?

I do not use PWA or server, so I'm sorry I cannot directly answer your
question. This usenet group is now mostly a large spam trap.
Microsoft has discontinued their use of this group in favor of
