Disable events programmatically during startup, gain external Automation control

Hello,

Excel has excel.application.enableevents=false for startup control.
Does Access have a similar or equivalent method to programmatically
disable a start up form /x sForm?

Related: Can a separate event sink application join a running Access
app and gain Automation control? Seems to be some nasty disagreements
about whom has control.
