Disable min/max/close items in custom menubar

I created a custom menu bar and unselected all default menus and
toolbars at startup.

But my custom menu bar still shows the min/restore/close options on
the far right, along with the "Type a question for help" item. How can
I hide or disable these?

Gee, I think all windows applications do have the minimize. If I launched an
application that did not allow me to minimize the application, it would make
be VERY angry. Totality unacceptable here.

Ah, Yes, I hide the above one all the time. Simply shift enter into your
database (I sure you now using the shift key 100's of times in a day now,
since you can't develop otherwise).

simply right click on the top menu bar and select customize. Now, right
click on the Type a question for help box...you can un-check he box "show
ask a question"

Once you exit the menu customizing mode, you not see the "type a question"
box....

The problem is that there is already the default min/max/close buttons
in the top right, which work great for all the right reasons. But by
adding my own custom menubar, there is now *another* set of min/max/
close buttons. And clicking the minimize button on my custom menubar
doesn't minimize Access, it just minimizes the database (leaving
Access fully opened along with my custom menu bar.) The close and
restore buttons operate in similar fashion.

Excellent. That's a start!

Ah, ha!

That is the minimize for the current form that is maximized, not the meuu
bar itself.

If you change the setting in the current form loaded, you can get rid of the
minimize bunion. The restore square and "x" unfortunately cannot be removed
*if* you want the form maxed.

So, if you don't want ANY of that stuff to show, then do not maximize the
form....

So, try loading the form in a non maximized way, and those controls will
disappear from the menu bar complete.

Ah! It sure is. Because those controls appear on the menubar, it's not
obvious they're linked to the current form.

I want the form to load maximized, so here's what I ended up doing.

1. In the properties of the main form which loads at start up (and
stays open forever), I disabled the close and min buttons, but kept
the max/restore button available (I kept it because it appears on the
menubar even if you disable it, so if the user clicks it and you've
disabled the max/restore button, the form will get un-maximized and
the user has no way of maximizing it back!)

2. By disabling the close and min buttons, when the form is maximized,
the only option that appears on the menubar is the restore (i.e., max)
button. (This is much better, but I wish you could get rid of the
restore, too! For this application, there is no reason the user will
ever need to minimize/max/or close the form.)

Thanks for your help.
