I too have disabled the junk email filtering as it is not required. Having disabled the junk email filtering only yesterday for the second time, I was surprised to find a mail having been marked as junk again today. The only reason I can think of is that I have pulled down some automatic updates from Microsoft today.
This caused a huge headache as I was searching for a missing data feed from Singapore and my reports were delayed as a result. This was very inconvenient.
A lesson has been learnt but there should be a way to permanently turn this feature off.
