Disable quoting highlighted text?

Ken W.

Is there any way to make Entourage 2008 stop only quoting the
highlighted text? It's really annoying to me, since sometimes I'll
have highlighted something to copy and then later on reply to the
email, forgetting I had highlighted that text. I'd love to disable
that functionality. It's counterproductive for me. Apple Mail has a
preference to disable it.

Thanks.

If you don't select any part of the message it quotes back all. If you want
your reply on top with entire message below see this link for how to set.

Thanks, but what I am asking is if there is a way to completely turn
off that functionality. I have often selected something to copy and
paste, than later on come back to the email and hit reply. It's
stupid to have to scan over each email I'm replying to that I haven't
just opened, to make sure nothing is highlighted before I reply.

Once you leave a window the highlighted portion should default to none
unless you open each message in it's own window.

There is no option to turn this off.

I do indeed open each email in its own window.

Thanks.
