Disable repagination

I am trying to disable automatic repagination on Word 2007 but my 'Enable
background repagination' box in Advanced Options is selected & protected
(greyed out) so I can't just unselect it. I've tried doing this through
draft & outline mode as suggested here but this does nothing. How do I
unprotect it so I can change it?

sorry for the double post but I got a msg saying my first one couldn't be
sent but obviously it was untrue so pls ignore this one
