Disable "REPLACE" IN FIND/REPLACE

L

Lisheen

Hi I was wondering if someone could possibly tell me if it is possible to
turn off the the find/ replace function. I have a database made up of
several forms and although on these forms I want to allow people to find
information I do not want them to be able to use the replace function.

I was also wondering if some one could point me in the right direction, I
have a database which is in use for at least 2 years now all of a sudden when
I go to open a form or search I get a message saying invalid arguement.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is no provision to disable replace.

But Access doesn't offer the replace if the form is read-only. If you use
custom toolbar button (or a command button), you can therefore achieve it by
setting the form's AllowEdits to false before you RunCommand acCmdFind.
