Disable Research

Hmm, old topic but worthy of a bump I think...

Does anyone have any ideas on this? This is most annoying as I often
us the Alt+Click method of selecting areas of text.

Microsoft Word seems not to allow you to disable the Research
function, even though it's not even installed on my machine!!! Hence,
not only does it not work, but every time I Alt+Click I am forced into
the oh-so-familiar cycle of...
Microsoft Word: "Install?"
Me: "No I don't want to install"
MW: "Are you SURE?"
Me: "Yes"
MW: "Really?"
Me: "Yes dagnammit!"
MW: "Are you certain you don't not want to not install Research?"
Me:"£!!R$%Q£%"£ ^%&"£^$&*£%^*£... grumble, fume, curse, ad nauseam...
