Disable Systray Icon

How can I disable the systray icon for Outlook 2003? I've scoured the
options and cannot find a way to do it. I don't like it there since I never
use it and would prefer to use the room on my screen for something else.

Right click on it an uncheck "hide when minimised."

How can I disable the systray icon for Outlook 2003?

I don't believe you can disable the notification area icon for Outlook. You
ay be able to syuppress it by changing the behavior to "Always Hide".
