Disable the Use of Universal Naming Convention (UNC)

Hello there!

I was wondering if one can use drive letter mappings
instead of servernames in file locations.

I´ve found one solution for Word:

it doesn´t seem to be directly applicable on Access, I
wonder if anyone knows how to do the same thing in Access?

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what you need to do this for!

How are you using a file name that you need to ensure it's using the drive
letter mapping?
