Disabled commandbar's buttons do not appear suitable

Disabled command bar’s buttons do not appear suitable in CUSTOM command bar.

Microsoft standard command bar’s buttons appear in SCALE OF GRAYS when they
are disabled.
Buttons on my custom command bar (MADE PROGRAMATICALLY) appear solid, NOT IN
SCALE OF GRAYS, in the old fashion way.

How can I make the buttons on my custom command bar look more professional?
I'm programming with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.3. for Excel.
