Disabled Macros

D

Dave

Whenever I open a Word document (including a new one), I
get the following message: "The macros in this project
are disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros.

How do I fix this?

Start by setting macro security to Medium (Tools | Macro | Security). Then
you'll get a dialog allowing you to enable the macros. But it's a good idea
to find out where the macros are coming from. If the macros are in a
template in your templates folder or Word's Startup folder, Word will
"trust" them (not ask you to enable them) if you check the box for "Trust
all installed add-ins and templates" on the Trusted Sources tab of Tools |
Macro | Security.
