Disabled Norton but can't download update recommended by OCA

When emailing, Outlook Express, ceased responding and I had to close. OCA
recommended I download Office updates. On visiting the site, although I am
using IE6, I couldn't download. As recommended I temporarily disabled Norton
Internet Security and tried again. I still got the message telling me that I
should be using IE5 or higher. Don't understand!
