Disabling Content.MSO folder creation

Hi,
I have a process that's doing some word automation and this appears to
be creating and leaving large emf files in my Content.MSO folder. The
emf files are images that get generated and inserted into my word
document during processing, but I'd like to have this not happen as it
tends to fill up my TIF folder quite quickly and it never seems to get
deleted. Does anyone know how I can control this file creation? I'm
running the exact same thing on another machine and this folder doesn't
get created at all, so I'm not sure if it has something to do with the
Internet Explorer settings.
