Disabling date/time stamp in track changes

Hello

Does anyone know how to disable the date/time stamp in the track changes
feature? Would also like to know how to change the reviewer's name.

I'm using Word for Mac 2001 and a MacOS 9.1 operating system.

With thanks for any leads and advice.

I also would like to know how to disable the changing of the date/time stamp
when modifying files, but in Windows XP. Does anybody know how to disable
this feature in Windows? I have several Word documents with which I would
like to convert their format but keep the their original time stamp.

Most of the people here don't know so much about Windows, as this is a
MacWord newsgroup. You probably want to ask in a regular Word newsgroup, or
possibly a Windows newsgroup.

But your question doesn't quite make sense anyhow. Word marks a lot of
different dates and times, which ones are you talking about? Where do they
show up in the doc or outside it? What do you mean by "convert their
format"? Original time stamp would be a CreateDate field, or the Created
info in the OS. That ought not to change.

You don't need to answer, just preempt those questions when you post in the
right place.

Hi Helene:

You can't disable the date/time stamp, but you can change the Reviewer's
Name, using VBA. You could also set the date and time to something else
using the same method.

Later Word versions have a built-in function that "Removes
personally-identifiable information on save".

If you tell me what you want the reviewer's name to be, and what date and
time you want to use, I will see if I can find the code I have that does
this.

Cheers

You cannot disable the date/time stamp, that is updated by the System
(Windows XP) when it writes the file back.

You could write a program to return the date and time, then make your
modification, then reset the date and time to what you want.

This is a Windows programming function: it's advanced Windows programming,
and as Daiya mentions, a Macintosh group is not the best place to ask this
question :)
