Disabling dock bouncing while keeping notification alerts?

B

Brett Zamir

Is there a way to disable the dock from bouncing when receiving mail (in
Entourage 2004) (especially when the mail is transferred to junk via a rule)
and yet preferably to also keep the notifican alerts?

I do not have the "animate icon" clicked in my notification mail
preferences, so I don't know why it is bouncing.

Thanks in advance,
Brett

It bounces when there's a mail error from your server, even when you have
animation turned off for new mail.

And there's no way to disable that (the mail error causing the dock
bouncing)?

No. Join the 100,000 others or so who want this as an option, and send your
suggestion via Help/Send Feedback. A lot of people want this.

(I must add that I don't quite understand why more people don't consider
switching ISPs. All these mail server errors are not exactly normal, you
know.)
